An incredible £20,000 was raised for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity at its Amazing Women Against Cancer event on 3rd November 2022, introduced by Mayor of Liverpool Joanne Anderson and hosted by Radio City's Leanne Campbell.

A cancer diagnosis is life changing and challenging, not only affecting your health but also disrupting your routine, work life, relationships, finances, emotions and more. And so the prospect of returning to life as ‘normal’ after cancer can be nerve-wracking.

The Clatterbridge Diagnostics community diagnostic service - a partnership between The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre and Wirral University Teaching Hospital - has delivered more than 33,000 vital tests and scans in its first year.

Specialist nurse, Carol McCormick from The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust, has transformed the way people receive intravenous cancer treatments with the trial project being highlighted at an international conference which took place in Athens last week (16-18th October 2022).

As part of the enabling works to support the development of the Cheshire and Merseyside Surgical Centre at Clatterbridge, the service road at the site will need to be closed from 4.30pm on Tuesday 25th October until 5pm on Monday the 31st October.

Consultant Clinical Oncologist Professor Arthur Sun Myint was the Lifetime Achievement Award winner at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Staff Excellence Awards 2022. As Prof Myint was overseas and could not attend the event in person, Chief Executive Liz Bishop presented it to him at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Wirral.
