Emily trained with us as part of her student placement before supporting the team during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Linda Boyne has worked as a counsellor for The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust’s haemato-oncology department for the past 18 years. Having previously been a nurse, Linda now provides emotional support to people with various forms of blood cancer and their families.

A local sculptor, famous for the bronze statue of Cilla Black on Mathew Street, has created a piece of artwork that will become a lasting legacy for a new cancer hospital. Created by Wirral-based artist Emma Rodgers, the large metal sculpture of a tree, entitled Primavera, is situated at the new Clatterbridge Cancer Centre – Liverpool, which opened in June.
